Just My Opinion-By Coleen Lou
Freaky Friday-New Release-Video Rental Review Rated PG
This Disney movie starring Jamie Lee Curtis is about a mother and daughter, who end-up in each other’s bodies because they eat a magic fortune cookie. Sounds like a cornball premise done into the ground…. right? WRONG! This was done very well and my whole family enjoyed it thoroughly.
It is an extremely funny, heartwarming and touching story of how a mother and daughter trade places and step into each others shoes for a while and see life through each others eyes. In addition, it then goes on to show how they regain their bodies through selfless love.
The movie is entertaining and there are also some great moral lessons…. thanks again Disney…. that is a big parental plus, as far as I am concerned. Jamie Lee Curtis rocks! She is just flat-out terrific and steals the show. You will laugh your booty off and probably shed a few tears, if you are anything like me. It is a great family film, definitely worth seeing and I recommend it highly.
So on a scale of 1-10, I give this one an 8 ½!
